Senority

In NA it sometimes happens that a member aquires several years of clean time and some ripple in thier grey matter tells them that they have more rights within the fellowship than newer members. This grows into a defect of character which is very dangerous to newer members. I have personally observed self-righteous and arrogant "senior" members drive the newcomer from the percieved "Ranks" of NA on several occasions. These members have never returned and become the unrecorded statistic, some I'm sure have died as a result.

This is indeed the reason for this entire site. I hope and pray for these addicts who may have stayed and enjoyed a beautiful existance had they been allowed to stay and discover that the program has as many different approaches as it has members. No one, newcomer or older member should ever be intimidated into thinking they "Must do it the way I did it and if you don't you are worthless and weak, destined to die a miserable death" My passion to dispell this premise and elighten those who would unwittingly cause the death of another addict who could not measure up, is the driving force that compels me to spend my time and money to cast light onto this problem.
